WELCOME TO

District Probation and After Care Associations Thane

The District Probation and After Care Association is a quasi-government ISO-certified organisation based in Thane, Maharashtra dedicated to safeguarding children and their rights and positively transforming their lives. We started our journey in 1948 and got the ISO certification in 2009. Our organisation is managed by JJ Act and aided by the WCD department Government of India and Maharashtra under Mission Vatsalya. We are operated under the leadership of the Hon. District Collector, Thane (ex-officio Chairman), with the Hon. District Judge and Superintendent of Police as ex-officio members. We are not just an organisation, we are a home, a safe haven for not only the children in need but also juvenile delinquents as well. Comprehensive facilities are provided including shelter, food, education, and care. Our operations are supported by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and Mission Vatsalya, Govt. of India, functioning on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. We are proud to have 600 life members and 27 prominent citizens as committee members who are dedicated to fostering positive change within the lives of our inmates.

The District Probation and After Care Association Thane is a registered trust with the Charity Commissioner, operating under the Society Registration Act. It holds the registration number E-7 THANE. The organization is based in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, and was officially registered on January 10, 1953. Our unique ID as a VO/NGO is MH/2018/0197743.
